St Mary’s Cathedral Hr Sc School Lerie, Kohima Nagaland, started with a humble beginning in 1992. It emerged as a response to cater to the need to provide quality education to students from the periphery. Academic excellence is our top priority, but it does not define the soul of the mission of our philosophy of education. In that, we emphasize the holistic development of students that meet the challenges of modern culture and society and its demand for higher academic competence, professional skills, leadership, and acquiring efficient knowledge of digital leverage.
Our mission is to develop students in whatever way they are capable of becoming, which can define their aptitude so that they can align with the professional world in which their talents and gifts can reach the highest point of human manifestation.
The three dimensions of cognitive development, affective maturity, and psychomotor skills are the fulcrum on which our education principles are based. From the primary to the higher secondary, these dimensions are always a force in the learning process, formal or co-curricular activities.
The institution aims to promote all-around formation of the human person in the pursuit of the ultimate end of the community to which he/she belongs. The focus is on bringing up and moulding youngsters to uphold moral and spiritual values and eventually take their places as productive and responsible members of society.
Education is a powerful agent of social transformation, therefore, the institution tries to impart sound education by cultivating in pupils, habits of piety, virtues, self-reliance and discipline. Hence, particular attention is given to quality plans, continual evaluation, and improvement by formulating innovative techniques to meet the requirements of the global competency.
To bring confirmatory changes in society by making the students sincere, efficient, and productive citizens through value and quality education, imparting knowledge and skills to be globally competent.
While acknowledging the uniqueness of each student that comes through the hut of the learning, we recognize diversity, making no distinction of race, religion, caste, or tribe; we promote the universality of brotherhood and fellowship in learning.
